CITY PROPOSAL:

RESOLVED, that the proper City officials are authorized to execute an agreement with Short Elliott Hendrickson, Inc. for Engineering services for the Campus Connector Segments 4 and 5 and College Street Reconstruction Project for an amount not to exceed $426,105 payable from Permanent Improvement Fund 411, City Project 2166, SAP No. 118-155-009 and SAP No. 118-156-012.  

 

Statement of Purpose

This resolution authorizes an agreement for design and bidding services for the Campus Connector Segments 4 and 5 and College Street Reconstruction Project to Short Elliott Hendrickson, Inc. for an amount not to exceed $426,105 payable from the PI fund.  City water, Storm Water, and Municipal State Aid funds will be used for design.  City project number 2166, SAP No. 118-155-009 and SAP No. 118-156-012.  

 

 

Work includes new watermain, storm sewer, and road reconstruction on College Street between Junction Avenue and Woodland Avenue, construction of a shared use path along College Street between Junction Ave/19th Ave East to 675 feet west of Woodland Avenue, construction of a shared use path from University Drive East to St. Marie Street, which includes the removal of the existing narrow pedestrian bridge and construction of a wider shared use path bridge over the West Branch of Tischer Creek.  St. Marie Street, between Carver Avenue and Wallace Ave, will be modified to construct a shared use path and the street will be reconditioned as part of the project.   

 

The City Purchasing Division issued a request for proposals for the project, and received four proposals as listed below.  After evaluation and scoring, Short Elliott Hendrickson, Inc was the best value proposal for this work.
