RESOLUTION DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD NOVEMBER 3, 2015.

CITY PROPOSAL:
WHEREAS, on November 3, 2015, there was held in the city of Duluth, pursuant to the provisions of Laws of Minnesota, 1973, Chapter 281, a general municipal election for the purpose of electing certain city officers; and
WHEREAS, the judges of the election precincts in the city have made their returns of said election, and the city council, acting as a canvassing board, has duly canvassed said returns at 7:00 p.m., November 9, 2015, has ascertained the number of ballots cast at said election, and thereby declared that at said election the votes were cast in the manner as listed on the election summary document.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that Emily Larson, having received the majority of all votes cast at said election for the office of mayor is hereby declared duly elected for terms of four years.
FURTHER RESOLVED, that Elissa Hansen and Noah Hobbs, having received the highest numbers of the votes cast at said election for the offices of councilor at large, are hereby duly elected for a term of four years.
FURTHER RESOLVED, that Gary Anderson having received the majority of all votes cast at said election for the office of councilor, first district, is hereby duly elected for a term of four years.
FURTHER RESOLVED, that Joel Sipress, having received the majority of all votes cast at said election for the office of councilor, second district, is hereby duly elected for a term of two years.
FURTHER RESOLVED, that Em Westerlund, having received the majority of all votes cast at said election for the office of councilor, third district, is hereby duly elected for a term of four years.
FURTHER RESOLVED, that Jay Fosle, having received the majority of all votes cast at said election for the office of councilor, fifth district, is hereby duly elected for a term of four years.
RESOLVED FURTHER, that City Question 1 received a majority of positive responses and is hereby declared to be approved by the electors voting upon the nonbinding proposition.
RESOLVED FURTHER, that City Question 2 received a majority of negative responses and is hereby declared to be denied by the electors voting upon such question.
RESOLVED FURTHER, that City Question 3 received a majority of positive responses and is hereby declared to be approved by the electors voting upon such question and is hereby declared to be operative and in full force.
