RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION 22-0740, FOR THE 2022 CDBG PROGRAM FUNDING TO SPECIFY FUNDING ALLOCATION FOR THE NYS JOBS, EDUCATION, TRAINING (JET) PROJECT, ESTABLISHING THE ALLOCATION BETWEEN AGENCIES.

CITY PROPOSAL:
WHEREAS, the city council approved, by resolution 22-0740R on September 12, 2022, the 2022 Community Development Block Grant Funding allocation from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development; and
WHEREAS, the City established the NYS Jobs, Education, Training (JET) Project (the “Project”) pursuant to Resolution 22-0041R approved January 10, 2022, and amended with Resolution 22-0740 approved on September 12, 2022, funding the Project at an amount of $29,500; and
WHEREAS, on July 26, 2022 Life House entered a Memorandum of Understanding with Family Freedom Center to transfer operations of the Project during the 2022 program year, splitting the funding support to the Project mid-year, proposing that Life House will receive $12,013 of total available funding and that Family Freedom Center will receive $17,488 in funding.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the city council hereby amends Resolution 22-0740 related to the 2022 Community Development Block Program funding to specify the funding allocation for the NYS Jobs, Education, Training (JET) Project, as follows:

Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: The NYS Jobs, Education, Training (JET) Project was funded for $29,500 in Community Development Block Grant Funds for the 2022 Program Year.
In July 2022, Life House transferred administration of the NYS Jobs, Education, Training (JET) Project to Family Freedom Center. The funding allocation established in this amendment reflects the determination in the MOU between the two agencies, to provide the appropriate amount of funding for each agency during the 2022 program year transition.
