CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to increase the contract with Duluth Tire and Oil, Inc., for the purchase and repair of tires during calendar year 2020 in the amount of $40,000, for a new total amount not to exceed $190,000 payable from 660-015-5221 (fleet services, public administration, equipment repair supplies).
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes an increase to the contract for the purchase and repair of tires from Duluth Tire and Oil, Inc., during the calendar year 2020. The increase will cover an elevated number of fire truck, motor grader, plow truck, and other heavy equipment tires that have been necessary in 2020. Tires for heavy equipment can be $800-$1200 per tire and there are six or more on each unit.
