CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are authorized to amend agreement L30703 with LHB, Inc. for engineering services for a portion of the 2023 Lead Service Replacement Project for an increase in the amount of $127,237.00, and a new total of $265,745.00, payable from fund 510-500-1905-5533, UtilB-ARPWF7 (water, Public Works and Utilities, capital (incl deprec/debt svc), capital improvements-revenue, utility projects budgeted, ARP 2082-2023 lead replacement design-Lincoln Park Location 2).
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes an amendment to agreement L30703 to LHB, Inc. for the additional work scope necessitated by the requirement of open cut installation for all service connections due to the anticipated presence of bedrock, as well as retaining wall field condition assessments, for the 2023 Lead Water Service Replacement Project in Location 2. The amendment increases the contract by $127,237.00, and is payable from American Rescue Plan funds.
The City Purchasing Division issued a request for proposals for multiple project areas on July 14, 2022. LHB, Inc. was one of four firms awarded a portion of the project.
