CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that in accordance with the provisions of Section 33-17 of the Duluth City Code, 1959, as amended, the unnamed public highway located between Lake Avenue and the unnamed alley in the plat of REARRANGEMENT OF BLOCKS 7 & 8 INDUSTRIAL DIVISION OF DULUTH, is hereby designated as a one-way street. This resolution will become effective only after said street segment has been posted with proper signage and striping, indicating the change in designation.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:
City staff was approached by the adjacent property owner who desires to improve the number of parking spaces and condition of his parking lots, which improvements require the addition of a new curb cut at 745 Lake Avenue. The City desires to convert the 25’ public highway as a one-way street as it is too narrow to support two-way traffic adjacent to the private parking lot. This conversion will be paid for and constructed by the property owner, under permit by the city, with the proper signs and pavement marking placed after council approval.
The public highway to be designated and established as a one-way street is depicted on the map attached as Exhibit A.
