CITY PROPOSAL:

RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to accept a grant of up to $15,000 as outlined in the attached Document A from the Stanton Foundation Fallen K9 Grant Program to reimburse the Duluth Police Department for the purchase of a K9 to replace the fallen K9 Luna, grant funds to be deposited into fund number 210-030-3123-4270 (Special Projects, Finance, K-9 Account, Other Grants).

 

 

Statement of Purpose

 

The Duluth Police Department will be purchasing a new K9 to replace the fallen K9 Luna.  The Duluth Police Department has been awarded a grant of up to $15,000 that will be used to reimburse the Duluth Police Department for the cost of the new K9.  The grant is from the Stanton Foundation Fallen K9 Grant Program.  This resolution authorizes the Duluth Police Department to accept the grant reimbursement monies.
