CITY PROPOSAL:

RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Northland Constructors of Duluth, LLC for the Whittier Street Reconstruction Project in the amount of $99,677, payable out of Special Assessment Fund 410, Department/Agency 038 (Special Assessment Contracts), Object 5530 (Improvements Other than Buildings), city project no. 1542.

 

Statement of Purpose

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:  This resolution authorizes the award of a contract for the reconstruction of Whittier Street from the Claymore Street intersection to approximately 700 feet south of the intersection to Northland Constructors of Duluth, LLC in the amount of $99,677.  Northland Constructors was the lowest responsible bidder of the seven companies that responded.  The engineer’s estimate was $162,301.  This project will be 100% assessed to the property owner per the assessment agreement approved by the council on March 13, 2017. Payable out of Special Assessment Fund 410, Department/Agency 038 (Special Assessment Contracts), Object 5530 (Improvements Other than Buildings), city project no. 1542, requisition no. 17-0253.
