CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are authorized to execute an agreement with Northland Consulting Engineers, LLP for engineering services for the water main design services, project #1741, from East 3rd Street through Northland Country Club to 40th Avenue East, for an amount not to exceed $59,450.00, payable from fund 510-500-1905-5533, UtilB-1741 (water, Public Works and Utilities, capital (incl deprec/debt svc), capital improvements-revenue, utility projects budgeted-upper lakeside water zone interconnection).
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes an agreement for design and bidding services for the water main design, project #1741, from East 3rd Street through Northland Country Club to 40th Avenue East for an amount not to exceed $59,450.00, substantially in the form of the attached Exhibit A. The engineering division selected Northland Consulting Engineers as they are the engineering firm working privately with Northland Country Club to develop the property, already have extensive background research and information on this project and are in the best position to assist the City with the design and bidding services. The public water main being constructed by the City will be crossing private property in an easement through the development area. This is a budgeted utility expense.
