RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE OF A GRANT FROM THE MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY HOMELAND SECURITY AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT DIVISION IN THE AMOUNT OF $10,000 FOR THE PURPOSE OF SUPPORTING THE PREVENTION OF, PREPARATION FOR, AND RESPONSE TO THE ONGOING CORONAVIRUS DISEASE 2019 (COVID-19)  PUBLIC HEALTH EMERGENCY.

CITY PROPOSAL:

RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are authorized to accept an emergency management performance grant, COVID-19 Supplemental (EMPG-S) agreement number A-EMPG-2020-DULUTHCI-0##, substantially in the form of Exhibit A, from the Minnesota Department of Public Safety, Homeland Security and Emergency Management Division, in the amount of $10,000, said funds to be deposited into Fund No. 210-030-3164-4210-02 (Special Projects Fund, Finance Department, Homeland Security, Pass-thru Federal Grants Operating), for the purpose of supporting the prevention of, preparation for, and response to the ongoing coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) public health emergency, with matching funds in the amount of $10,000 to be provided from Fund No. 110-150-1501-5100 (General Fund, Fire, Fire Administration).

 

Statement of Purpose

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: The purpose of this resolution is to authorize accepting a grant in the amount of $10,000 from the State Department of Public Safety, Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management to be used to support the prevention of, preparation for, and response to the ongoing coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) public health emergency.
