RESOLUTION ADOPTING 2018 INTERNATIONAL PROPERTY MAINTENANCE CODE AS THE HOUSING AND PROPERTY MAINTENANCE CODE OF THE CITY PURSUANT TO DULUTH CITY CODE SECTION 29A-1

CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the Duluth City Code Section 29A-1 provides that adoption of amendments and new editions to the International Property Maintenance Code as the Housing and Property Maintenance Code of the city shall be established by resolution of the city council.
RESOLVED FURTHER, that the year 2015 International Property Maintenance Code (IPMC) was previously adopted by the council as the Housing and Property Maintenance Code of the City pursuant to Duluth City Code Section 29A-1.
RESOLVED FURTHER, that the city hereby adopts and incorporates by reference the year 2018 International Property Maintenance Code (IPMC) as the Housing and Property Maintenance Code of the City pursuant to Duluth City Code Section 29A-1.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution replaces the current (2015) International Property Maintenance Code (IPMC) with the 2018 IPMC as the City’s Housing and Property Maintenance Code pursuant to City Code Sec. 29A-1. The year 2018 IPMC is the newest edition.
