Foundation Board Report October 2026

The Library Foundation Board met on September 16, 2026 at the Dovetail Cafe in Lincoln Park.
The normal consent agenda items including committee reports, library & board reports and the Executive Director report were detailed.
Children’s sections campaign and project were updated. The “I Was a Library Kid” campaign is in its final stretch. There is about $11,000 remaining to reach our $350,000 project goal. The children’s section is expected to close in November with a target reopening date of Dec 5.
Duluth Reads Together Campaign was held Sep 18 through 20 with many events taking place throughout the community.
The Foundation website update and brand refresh is taking place. The work is contracted through a company called TellWell. An end of year launch is being targeted.
Planning is underway for the annual year end campaign beginning with Give to the Max day in early November.
Donor recognition strategy was discussed and will continue to be researched. A new model will be introduced in the near future.
The next Foundation Board meeting will be held on November 18.
