RESOLUTION AMENDING A CONTRACT WITH MSA PROFESSIONAL SERVICES, INC. TO PROVIDE PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING AND CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATION SERVICES FOR THE RIVERWEST DRIVE CONSTRUCTION PROJECT, TO INCREASE THE AMOUNT BY $41,075.32 FOR A NEW TOTAL OF $204,500.25.

CITY PROPOSAL:

RESOLVED, that contract L30136 with MSA, Inc. for professional engineering services for the Riverwest Drive construction project be amended to include the additional design services detailed in the attached change order that were not included in the scope of the original contract, and to provide full time construction administration and construction staking services, and to increase the amount by $41,075.32 for a new total of $204,500.25, payable from Permanent Improvement Fund 411, Department 035 (Capital Projects Accounts), Object 5530 (Improvements Other than Buildings), city project  no. 1403.

 

Statement of Purpose

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution amends contract L30136 with MSA Professional Services, Inc. by an amount of $41,075.32.  This amendment is necessary due to the change in scope of the original contract as detailed in the attached change order request from MSA.  City staff requires assistance from MSA to perform design and construction inspection services for the Riverwest Drive construction project.  Payable out of Permanent Improvement Fund 411, Department 035 (Capital Projects Accounts), Object 5530 (Improvements Other than Buildings), city project no. 1403, requisition no. 18-07722R.
