CITY PROPOSAL:

RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are authorized to enter into an agreement with the BNSF Railroad Company, substantially in the form of the attached Exhibit A, for the construction of improvements at the BNSF Railroad track crossing at 67th Ave W in the City of Duluth.  The city’s cost is estimated to be $32,000.00, to be paid from Fund 411, Department/Agency 035 (Capital Projects Accounts), Object 5530 (Improvements Other than Buildings), city project no. 2298. Requisition #2024-99000374.

 

Statement of Purpose

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes a crossing surface installation agreement with the BNSF Railroad Company for construction of improvements to the BNSF Railroad Company’s crossing at 67th Ave W in the City of Duluth. This improvement is needed because the rail crossing surface is failing and needs to be restored. This work will be funded through the Permanent Improvement Fund 411, Department 035 (Capital Projects Accounts), Object 5530 (Improvements Other Than Buildings), city project no. 2298, requisition number 2024-99000374.
