RESOLUTION APPROVING A STATE PROJECT WITHIN THE MUNICIPAL CORPORATE LIMITS TO REHABILITATE TRUNK HIGHWAY 2.

CITY PROPOSAL:
WHEREAS, The Minnesota Department of Transportation is leading a resurfacing project in 2027 on US 2 beginning at the intersection with CSAH 13 (Midway Rd) and ending at the intersection with CSAH 14 (Boundary Ave), identified as SP 6908-72 and located in the cities of Hermantown, Proctor and Duluth; and
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the final layouts for state project no. 6908-72 on Trunk Highway 2 from reference point 254+00.830 to reference point 259+00.653 for highway improvements within the city limits as a state project has been prepared and presented to the city, and that said final layouts be in all things approved.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution will authorize a state project within the city to make improvements to Trunk Highway 2 from just west of Midway Road (CSAH 13) to just past S. Boundary Avenue (CSAH 14). Final layouts are on file with the Minnesota Department of Transportation Duluth office. A copy of the cover sheet is attached. The city’s estimated share for the project is $2,500.00. City project 2290.
