RESOLUTION ACCEPTING UNCONDITIONAL GIFTS FROM THE FRIENDS OF THE DULUTH PUBLIC LIBRARY FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE LIBRARY FOR 2026.

CITY PROPOSAL:
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to accept the donation of unconditional monetary gifts from the Friends of the Duluth Public Library during 2026 for the use by the Duluth public library, said gifts to be deposited in fund no. 240-300-SG50-4660 (library special gifts, friends of library).
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the city hereby thanks the Friends of the Duluth Public Library for their generous gifts and continued support.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes the acceptance, from time to time, of unconditional gifts from the Friends of the Duluth Public Library, a volunteer organization, which supports the library in a variety of ways including memberships and the annual book sale, and which donates funds raised to the library for the improvement of the library and library services. In 2025, the city of Duluth received over $37,000 from the Friends of the Duluth Public Library.
