CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Veit & Company, Inc. for stream bank stabilization at Chester Creek in the amount of $518,187.35, payable out of Disaster Recovery Fund 225, Department/Agency 125 (Finance), Division 1807 (Parks, Recreation and Other), Object 5400 (Miscellaneous Repair and Maintenance Services), city project nos. 1280, 1281, 1283, 1349, 1350, 1352 and 1353, flood site nos. 528D, E, F, H, J, K, L and XX.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes stream bank stabilization at Chester Creek by Veit & Company, Inc. in the amount of $518,817.35. Veit & Company, Inc. was the lowest responsible bidder of the five companies that responded. The engineer’s estimate was $741,500. Payable out of Disaster Recovery Fund 225, Department/Agency 125 (Finance), Division 1807 (Parks, Recreation and Other), Object 5400 (Miscellaneous Repair and Maintenance Services), city project nos. 1280, 1281, 1283, 1349, 1350, 1352 and 1353, flood site nos. 528D, E, F, H, J, K, L and XX, requisition no. 16-0076. This project is entirely funded by a flood recovery grant from the Board of Water and Soil Resources (BWSR).
