CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are authorized to execute an agreement, substantially in the form attached as Exhibit A, with DELTAWRX for professional project management and consulting services for assistance in the selection, acquisition and implementation of a public safety records management system for a total amount not to exceed $172,224, payable from fund 215-200-2260-5580 (Duluth Police Grant Programs, Police, Police Forfeitures - Federal, Capital Equipment).
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes an agreement with DELTAWRX to provide professional project management and information technology consulting services to assist in the selection, acquisition and implementation of a public safety records management system (RMS).
The RMS currently in use by the City of Duluth Police Department lacks several important features and components which are available in competing systems. It is the city's goal that any replacement system will include fully integrated public safety application suites which will allow the police department to operate in a more efficient manner, including the use of a fully integrated field based reporting application.
Due to the scope and complexity of this project, the city will require the assistance of a project management team that has successfully implemented public safety RMS systems for other local government clients. DELTAWRX will assist the City in the selection, acquisition, contract negotiation, implementation, training oversight, post implementation testing and project closeout of a public safety RMS.
