RESOLUTION APPROVING A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING AMENDING THE COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF DULUTH AND INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF FIRE FIGHTERS LOCAL 101 FOR THE YEARS 2022-2024 BY PROVIDING AN EIGHT PERCENT MARKET ADJUSTMENT TO WAGES IN 2024.

CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to execute
and implement a memorandum of understanding, substantially in the form of the attached Exhibit A, amending the collective bargaining agreement with the International Association of Fire Fighters Local 101 for the years 2022-2024 to provide an eight percent market adjustment in wages effective January 1, 2024.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: The city council expressed its support for an eight percent market adjustment for firefighters in resolution 23-0758R. This resolution authorizes city officials to execute a memorandum of understanding amending the 2022-2024 collective bargaining agreement with the International Association of Fire Fighters Local 101 to implement an 8 percent market increase in wages to be effective January 1, 2024.
