RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to execute an amendment to agreement L30511 with AMI Consulting Engineers for Duluth Seawall, Baywalk, and Harbor Drive permitting, for an increase of $10,395, and a new total not to exceed $54,665.25, payable from fund 450-030-5530-CP450-20BOND-SEAWLL (Capital Improvements; Finance; Improvements Other than Buildings; Capital Projects; Other Fund Contributions, MN State Bonds 2020, Seawall Phase II (behind DECC))
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes an amendment to the agreement with AMI for assistance in obtaining the permits required for the Duluth Seawall, Baywalk, and Harbor Drive coastal engineering project.
AMI’s project estimation sheet is attached as Exhibit A. This amendment will add relevant permitting assistance work, currently listed under Task 2 on Exhibit A, to the previously approved pre-design work shown in Task 1. The amendment will allow AMI to begin this work immediately, which is necessary due to the complexity and potential length of the permitting process.
