CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with MSA Professional Services, Inc. to provide professional engineering design and bidding services for the Lakewood Water Treatment Plant - Standby Power project in the amount of $312,617, payable out of Water Fund 510, Department/Agency 500 (Public Works & Utilities), Division 1905 (Capital), Object 5530 (Improvements Other than Buildings), city project no. 2135.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes an agreement with MSA Professional Services, Inc. for professional engineering design and bidding services for the Lakewood Water Treatment Plant - Standby Power project. This project consists of new underground power distribution to the water treatment plant and pump house along with backup generators to the facilities. The project is funded partially from the accepted Hazard Mitigation Grant through Homeland Security and Emergency Management Minnesota Department of Public Safety. Due to the complexity and time frame of bidding this project, the city requested the services of a consultant engineer.
