Statement of Purpose

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:  This resolution authorizes an increase to contract L30419 with Wren Works, LLC for repair of the stormwater outfalls near 7428 and 7825 Congdon Boulevard in the amount of $56,752.98 and a new total amount not to exceed $223,142.63.

The FEMA-funded outfall repair project encountered site conditions that warranted changes in the work method.  Bedrock conditions were not suitable for anchoring repairs to the bin wall structure as originally planned.  Additionally, site conditions were deteriorating and creating unsafe work conditions that would not allow rock anchor placement within the base of the bin wall structure.  Hollow bar micropiles were installed with specialized equipment after placement of the bin wall concrete fill was completed.
