RESOLUTION TO REFER DULUTH COMMERCIAL HISTORIC DISTRICT DESIGN GUIDELINES TO THE HERITAGE PRESERVATION COMMISSION FOR RECOMMENDATION

CITY PROPOSAL:
BE IT RESOLVED, that the city council hereby states its intention to evaluate and consider for resolution the draft “Duluth Commercial Historic District Design Guidelines” (the “Guidelines”), a copy of which is attached as Attachment A, and hereby refers the Guidelines to the city heritage preservation commission for review.
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the city council requests that the city heritage preservation commission provide a recommendation to the city council on acceptance and implementation of the Guidelines by January 1, 2025.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: Through this action, the Duluth City Council refers evaluation and consideration of the Draft Duluth Commercial Historic District Design Guidelines to the Heritage Preservation Commission for their recommendations on whether the City should accept and implement those guidelines.
