RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PROPER CITY OFFICIALS TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH LIFEHOUSE TO PROVIDE EMPLOYMENT AND TRAINING SERVICES FUNDED THROUGH THE YOUTHPRISE HOMELESS YOUTH STIPEND PILOT PROGRAM.

CITY PROPOSAL:

                     RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are authorized to enter into an agreement with Lifehouse, substantially in the form of exhibit A, for an amount not to exceed $140,703 to provide employment and training services in accordance with the terms and conditions outlined by the Youthprise homeless youth stipend pilot program and the agreement between the city and Youthprise.  Monies paid under this agreement will be paid from fund no. 268-031-6220 (workforce development, grant division, youthprise).

 

Statement of Purpose

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:  This resolution authorizes city officials to enter into an agreement with Lifehouse in an amount not to exceed $140,703 to provide housing navigation, skill and community building workshops, mental health support, program manager, GED training, and transitional employment services for youth aged 18 through 24 enrolled in the Youthprise Homeless Youth Stipend Pilot Program.  This request is budgeted through Workforce Development grant funds, and is operational in nature.
