RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are authorized to purchase one Western Star tandem dump truck chassis from Boyer Trucks Superior for the amount of $175,541.18, payable from funds

Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes the purchase of one Western Star tandem dump truck chassis from Boyer Trucks Superior for the amount of $175,541.18. Purchase is budgeted for in 2026 Capital Equipment Plan.
The 2014-2015 Fleet Study found that, in order to minimize total City vehicle costs for purchase and maintenance, vehicles of this kind should be replaced before they reach 12 years old. This purchase will replace unit 1717 which was purchased in 2003 with maintenance accumulating 125% of the original purchase price. Truck 1717 also has a mechanical failure limiting its usefulness. Unit 1717 will be sold at public auction. This is from MN state contract T-647(5) contract number 242594.
