CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to contract with Core & Main for the purchase of 2,000 feet of HDPE water main pipe for the Superior Street reconstruction project in the amount of $127,960, payable from 511-500-5532- Project Util-0923TR (Water Construction Bond; Public Works & Utilities; Capital Improvements; Bond; Utility Projects, Downtown Area Restoration Phase 1).
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes the purchase of 2000 feet of 20-inch DIPS HDPE water main SDR11 pipe for Superior Street reconstruction project at a cost of $63.98 per foot, for a total cost of $127,960.
Purchasing issued an invitation to bid on November 30, 2017 and received three bids. After careful review, the bid submitted by Core & Main (formerly HD Supply Waterworks) was determined to be the lowest responsive bid.
