RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING THAT THE $3.45 MILLION IN PROCEEDS FROM THE SALE OF THE CIRRUS INCUBATOR BUILDING BE ALLOCATED TO VARIOUS CITY PROJECTS AND FUNDS.

 

Body

BY COUNCILORS FORSMAN, RANDORF, TOMANEK, AND ALSTEAD:

                     WHEREAS, the city sold the Cirrus Incubator Building in June of 2023 and the proceeds from the sale were $3.45 million; and

                     WHEREAS, the council wishes to recommend to the administration that the $3.45 million be allocated to fund various city projects and funds.

                     THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the council strongly recommends that the $3.45 million in proceeds from the sale of the Cirrus Incubator Building be allocated as follows:

 

                     $834,316 - DEDA General Fund support

                     $750,000 - Parks Capital 2024 projects

                     $659,164 - One-time 8% fire market adjustment

                     $500,000 - Stepping on Up Phase 1 matching funds

                     $200,000 - One-time Library materials increase

                     $200,000 - Chloride reduction pilot support

                     $150,000 - Enhanced encampment/needle pickup coordination

                     $146,520 - Street Maintenance sidewalk snow removal study

                     $  10,000 - Children Victim Services support for DPD

 

Statement of Purpose

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:  The purpose of this resolution is to express the council’s strong recommendation to the administration that the proceeds from the sale of the Cirrus Incubator Building be used to fund various city projects and funds.
