CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that plans for project S.A.P. 069-169-031 showing proposed alignments, profiles, grades and cross sections for the improvement of County State Aid Highway 91 (North 40th Avenue West) within the limits of the city of Duluth as a state aid project have been prepared and presented to the city, and that said plans be in all things approved.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution will authorize a county project within the city limits to make road improvements to North 40th Avenue West from Grand Avenue to West Ninth Street. This project is scheduled for construction in 2019 and includes milling of the bituminous surface, spot repair of curb and gutter, ADA sidewalk improvements at the curb ramps, and 1.5 inches of new bituminous pavement. There will be no street closure involved. A cooperative agreement will be submitted to the council prior to advertisement of bids. There will be no cost to the city for this project. The county intends to complete a full reconstruction of this road in 2024. This resolution is a requirement for state aid approval of the county’s plans.
