RESOLUTION APPROVING PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO THE SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE EXISTING CIVIL SERVICE CLASSIFICATION OF SEASONAL GROUNDSKEEPER.

CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proposed amendments to the specifications for the existing civil service classification of seasonal groundskeeper (attached as Exhibit A), which were approved by the civil service board on February 7, 2023, are approved. This classification shall remain subject to the city's collective bargaining agreement with its basic unit employees; and that pay range for said classification shall change to Range 18, pay rate of $3,121 to $3,582 per month, from Range 15, pay rate of $2,614 to $2,980 per month.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: The existing classification of seasonal groundskeeper has been revised to update language under essential duties to better reflect evolution of duties and better articulate maintenance and equipment operation tasks. The pay range negotiated for this classification is Range 18, pay rate of $3,121 to $3,582 per month. This is a change from Range 15, pay rate of $2,614 to $2,980 per month.
