CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are authorized to contract for the purchase and installation of sanding body equipment for a plow truck with Bert’s Truck Equipment of Moorhead, Inc. for a total amount of $232,274.00, payable from fund 250-015-2025-5580; CE250 - V2503 (capital equipment; Public Administration; fiscal year - 2025; capital equipment; Fund 250; street maintenance vehicles and equipment).
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes the purchase of a 2025 hook mounted sander body/front and side plows and outfitting for snow removal and sanding operations.
The 2014-2015 Fleet Study found that, in order to minimize total City vehicle costs for purchase and maintenance, vehicles and associated attachments of this kind should be replaced when they reach 12 years old. This body will be replacing unit 3439 which was purchased in 2013.
This purchase is under Minnesota State contract 222958, release S-863(5).
