Statement of Purpose

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:  This resolution authorizes the purchase of software maintenance and support services for the City’s Multi-Jurisdictional Law Enforcement Records Management System from Tyler Technologies, Inc., which includes software for records management, mobile field-based reporting, citations, property and evidence, officer mobility tools and advanced report writing through 2024 for an amount not to exceed $161,693.24.

The system enables officers and staff to more easily access information in the field.  The ability to have access to critical information results in operational efficiencies as well as increased officer safety. The system also allows for multi-jurisdictional functionality with our regional partners throughout St. Louis County. The system currently supports law enforcement records management services for Duluth, UMD, Virginia, and Hermantown police departments.  This system supports critical law enforcement information sharing among these partner agencies.
