Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution will authorize Work Order 1 to the Master Partnership Agreement between the city and MnDOT to cooperatively provide services related to the design, construction and maintenance of roadways in the city of Duluth.
In accordance with the state of Minnesota and city of Duluth Master Partnership Agreement, MnDOT contract no. 1028597, city agreement no. 23224, each individual project is covered by a “work order” which specifies which party performs the work and what the work is to consist of, and establishes the amount to be paid by the other party for the work. This is the first work order proposed under the agreement. Work Order 1 provides that the city will reimburse MnDOT for the city’s share of the design engineering costs for the city legs of the signalized intersections. The city’s share, after an in-house preliminary engineering contribution of $7,826.17 is subtracted, is $21,936.83. The city’s share will be paid from Street Lighting Fund 550, city project no. 1732.
