CITY PROPOSAL:

RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Northland Constructors of Duluth, Inc. for the reconstruction of Bridge L8514 over Tischer Creek at St. Andrews Street in the amount of $675,675.00, payable out of the Permanent Improvement Fund 411, Department/Agency 035 (Capital Projects Account), Object 5530 (Improvements Other than Buildings), city project no. 1861.

 

Statement of Purpose

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:  This resolution authorizes the award of a contract for the replacement of Bridge No. L8514 with Bridge 69K83 over Tischer Creek on St. Andrews Street to Northland Constructors of Duluth, Inc. in the amount of $675,675.00.  $374,958.17 will be paid by a local bridge replacement grant from the Minnesota state transportation fund and the remaining amount will be paid with local funds. Northland Constructors of Duluth, Inc. was the lowest responsible bidder of the six companies that responded. The engineer’s estimate for the project was $614,559.00. Payable out of the Permanent Improvement Fund 411, Department/Agency 035 (Capital Projects Account), Object 5530 (Improvements Other than Buildings), city project no. 1861. requisition no. 23-99646.
