RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF FOUR (4) 2018 FORD UTILITY INTERCEPTOR VEHICLES FROM FORD OF HIBBING IN THE AMOUNT OF $123,384.60.

CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to contract with Ford of Hibbing for the purchase of four (4) 2018 Ford utility Interceptor vehicles in the amount of $123,384.60, payable from 250-015-2017-5580, CE250-V1703 (capital equipment, Public Administration, fiscal year 2017, capital equipment, capital equipment fund 250-police vehicles).
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes the purchase of four (4) 2018 Ford utility Interceptor vehicles for Police Department use at a cost of $31,583.10 for two marked units and $30,109.10 for two additional marked units that will be retrofitted with some existing equipment for a total amount of $123,384.60.
The vehicles will not be delivered until late February or early March, so a determination of which vehicles to replace will be made at that time.
This purchase is against Minnesota State Contract 83064, Release A-174(5).
