CITY PROPOSAL:

RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to amend Agreement L31283 with CR-Building Performance Specialists, Inc. for additional professional services on the Morgan Park Roof Insulation Project, increasing the contract by $17,500.00 for a new total amount not to exceed $59,500.00, payable from fund 257-025-3006-5520 (Energy Management, Sustainability, Morgan Park Resilience Grant, Buildings and Structures).

 

Statement of Purpose

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes an amendment to Agreement L31283 with CR-Building Performance Specialists, Inc. for additional professional services required on the Morgan Park Roof Insulation Project for an increase to the contract of $17,500.00, and a new total not to exceed $59,500.00.

 

The additional scope adds Construction Administration services to the original agreement, ensuring proper oversight and support for the contractor installing insulation on the Morgan Park Community Center roof (Exhibit A).

 

Funding for this portion of the project, to be used as a 10% match to the grant, comes from the City of Duluth sustainability fund, 2025 PPL underspending, and the Energy Efficiency Fund.

Funding for the Morgan Park Roof Insulation project comes from a grant of $496,205.00 from the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency, Community Resiliency Grant Program to support installation of energy efficient equipment at Morgan Park Community Center.
