RESOLUTION APPOINTING ALYSSA DENHAM, CITY CLERK, AS THE RESPONSIBLE AUTHORITY FOR PURPOSES OF THE MINNESOTA GOVERNMENT DATA PRACTICES ACT

WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes, Section 13.02, subdivision 16, as amended, requires that a political subdivision’s governing body may designate an individual as the responsible authority to administer the requirements for collection, storage, use, and dissemination of any set of data on individuals, government data or summary data of the political subdivision;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Commissioners for the Duluth Economic Development Authority ("DEDA") hereby appoints Alyssa Dehham, City Clerk for the City of Duluth, as the responsible authority for purposes of meeting all requirements of Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 13, as amended.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: The purpose of this resolution is to memorialize that DEDA’s responsible authority, as required by the Minnesota Government Data Practices Act, is the City Clerk, who is also appointed as the responsible authority for the City of Duluth. The responsible authority is responsible for administering the collection, storage, use, and dissemination of data on individuals held by DEDA.
