RESOLUTION APPROVING PROPOSED SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE NEW CIVIL SERVICE CLASSIFICATION OF DATA PRACTICES COMPLIANCE SPECIALIST, AND SPECIFYING CONTRACT BENEFITS FOR SAME.

CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proposed specifications for the new civil service classification of data practices compliance specialist (attached as Exhibit A), which were approved by the civil service board on May 7, 2024, are approved. This classification shall be subject to the city's collective bargaining agreement with its basic unit employees; and that pay range for said classification shall be Range 133, pay rate of $62,196 to $73,011 per year.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: The new classification of data practices compliance specialist has been created to act as a designated employee of the City of Duluth to whom persons may direct questions or concerns regarding access to data or other data practices issues. The pay range negotiated for the classification is Range 133, pay rate of $62,196 to $73,011 per year.
