Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution finalizes the 2024 Emergency Solutions Grant Program portion of the Community Development program. The city budgeted $207,000 for the FY 2024 HUD award to the ESG program in Resolution 24-0038R. The federal Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) officially notified the city of the FY 2024 ESG allocation on May 18, 2024 for the program year that runs from April 1, 2024 through March 31, 2025. The award letter from HUD awarded $209,696 to the ESG program, which is an increase of $2696 from the anticipated amount. This reallocation of funds is within the approved contingency plan for ESG funds, therefore no public hearing was required.
