CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are authorized to enter into a contract with KTM Paving for the construction of multiple sites as part of the Storm Damage Civil Sites Repairs project in the amount of $2,251,588.27, payable from 225-125-1823-5310 (Disaster Recovery Fund, Finance, Flooding April 2023 (FEMA), Contract Services), 225-125-1824-5310 (Disaster Recovery Fund, Finance, Flooding September 2023, Contract Services), 225-125-1825-5310 (Disaster Recovery Fund, Finance, Flooding June 2024 (FEMA), Contract Services).
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes a contract with KTM Paving for the construction of multiple sites as part of the Storm Damage Civil Sites Repairs project in the amount of $2,251,588.27.
The damage addressed under this contract was caused by three separate, state and/or federally designated flood disasters in 2023 and 2024. The damage is predominantly to parks, trails, and related public infrastructure, most often in the form of damaged or destroyed culverts, bridges, retaining walls, and gravel paths and roads.
Funding for the project comes from three declared disasters from April 2023 (FEMA), September 2023 (State), and June 2024 (FEMA). As with previous disaster recovery efforts, the majority of eligible costs will be reimbursed by state and federal disaster recovery agencies. The City will use its disaster fund and in-kind contributions of staff time to fulfill the approximately $273,100.00 total local match requirement.
