CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are authorized to contract with Pioneer Power, Inc. for two (2) temporary steam to hot water energy transfer stations for the district energy system conversion project for a total amount not to exceed $832,000, payable from fund 540-920-1499-5530 (Steam; Steam Department; Steam Non-Operating; Improvements Other than Buildings).
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes the purchase of two temporary steam to hot water energy transfer stations from Pioneer Power, Inc. at a unit price of $416,000 each and a total cost of $832,000. The energy transfer stations will be used during the conversion of the district energy system from steam to hot water, which will take place in conjunction with the reconstruction of Superior Street.
Purchasing issued an Invitation for Bids on November 16, 2017 and received five bids. Pioneer Power, Inc. submitted the lowest responsive bid. Results are shown below.
