CITY PROPOSAL:
Resolved, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Veit & Company, Inc. for the Michigan Street Sanitary Sewer CIPP Lining Project in the amount of $458,565, payable out of Sanitary Sewer Fund 530, Department/Agency 500 (Public Works & Utilities), Division 1905 (Capital), Object 5533 (Capital Improvements-Revenue), city project no. 1629.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes the award of a contract for the Michigan Street Sanitary Sewer CIPP Lining Project from Second Avenue West to Fifth Avenue West in the amount of $458,565. Veit & Company, Inc. was the lowest responsible bidder out of the three companies that responded. The engineer’s estimate was $632,000. Engineering staff has held a public meeting with adjacent property owners. Payable out of Sanitary Sewer Fund 530, Department/Agency 500 (Public Works & Utilities), Division 1905 (Capital), Object 5533 (Capital Improvements-Revenue), city project no. 1629, requisition no. 17-0275.
