CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that resolution 17-0788 adopting license, permit, fine, penalty and other charges for 2018, be amended by adding a fee for a city parks ultimate frisbee league as follows:
Special League - Sport- Ultimate Frisbee (per participant) - l $25
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes an amendment to resolution 17-0788 for 2018 fees by adding a special league fee for ultimate frisbee. The league will have two divisions offered to youth ages 7-10 and 11-15, and will consist of two sessions that are four weeks in length. Sessions will take place from April to June on Wednesday evenings. This recreation activity will be managed by the parks and recreation division and aims at increasing youth participation, team building, cooperation and communication for youth who are not involved with traditional team sports like soccer, basketball or football. Parks and recreation will utilize their current online recreation software for registration and fee collection. Registration fees will cover equipment, staffing and field rental costs.
