RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH HISTORIC UNION DEPOT, INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF $220,000.

CITY PROPOSAL:
WHEREAS, the city council approved $220,000 as an operating subsidy to the Heritage Arts Center/Depot (Depot) in resolution 17-0877R passed on December 11, 2017 that appropriated the estimated 2018 hotel-motel and food and beverage tourism taxes.
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into an agreement, substantially in the form of that attached as Exhibit A, with Historic Union Depot, Inc. (Depot), in an amount not to exceed $220,000, payable from Tourism Taxes 258, Finance 030, Tourism Tax Allocations 5436, Historic Union Depot 03.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes an agreement with the Depot for 2018 in order to support the historic, artistic, and promotional activities of the Depot. This agreement is funded by tourism tax collections.
