RESOLUTION APPROVING PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO THE SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE EXISTING CIVIL SERVICE CLASSIFICATION OF MANAGER, CUSTOMER SERVICE.

CITY PROPOSAL:

RESOLVED, that the proposed amendments to the specifications for the existing civil service classification of manager, customer service (attached as Exhibit A), which were approved by the civil service board on December 6, 2016, are approved.  This classification shall remain subject to the city’s collective bargaining agreement with its supervisory unit employees and compensated at Pay Range 1115-1130, $6,210 to $8,012 per month.

 

Statement of Purpose

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:  The existing classification of manager, customer service was revised to update the format, including template language and the addition of natural gas operator qualifications licensure requirement. All of the supervisor and manager job descriptions in the public works & utilities department were updated to ensure consistency and accuracy between the two levels.  There is no change in the rate of pay, which remains Pay Range 1115-1130, $6,210 to $8,012 per month.
