RESOLUTION IN THE MATTER OF THE OFF SALE LIQUOR LICENSE OF UNIVERSITY LIQUOR, 1603 WOODLAND AVENUE.

CITY PROPOSAL:
BE IT RESOLVED, that the city council makes the following findings of fact:
(a) On December 6, 2017, the city of Duluth alcohol, gambling and tobacco commission held a public hearing to consider whether disciplinary action should be taken against Roto of Duluth, Inc. d/b/a University Liquor, 1603 Woodland Avenue;
(b) The commission submitted its Report to Council attached hereto the city council;
(c) Pursuant to Duluth City Code Chapter 8, Section 9(a), the city council considered the report, records, and evidence at a public hearing on January 8, 2018; and
(d) The city council adopts the Report to Council in its entirety.
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the city hereby fines Roto of Duluth, Inc. d/b/a University Liquor, 1603 Woodland Avenue, $1,000 payable to the city within 30 days of final city action.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution confirms the findings of the Alcohol Gambling and Tobacco Commission in regards to University Liquor’s sale to a person under the age of 21 on August 31, 2017, and approves the Commission’s recommended fine of $1,000.
