RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A FIVE-YEAR AGREEMENT WITH DULUTH CROSS-COUNTRY SKI CLUB FOR THE USE AND OPERATION OF LESTER-AMITY CHALET.

CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper City officials are hereby authorized to execute a five-year agreement, substantially the same as the agreement attached as Exhibit A, with Duluth Cross-Country Ski Club for the use and operation of Lester-Amity Chalet.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes a five-year agreement with Duluth Cross-Country Ski Club (DXC) for the continued operation and management of recreational facilities and programming at the Lester-Amity Chalet. DXC has managed Lester-Amity Chalet since 2015, and the parties wish to enter into a new use and operation agreement for an additional five years.
DXC’s regular management and operational duties include the provision of ski programs and other outdoor recreation activities for the community and maintaining the Leased Premises in good, functional condition, including building maintenance and outdoor maintenance.
