RESOLUTION ORDERING THE IMPROVEMENT OF THE 2018 STREET PRESERVATION PROJECTS.

CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that it is deemed necessary for public convenience and safety and is hereby ordered that the following streets be improved:
Clover Street from Eighth Street to Woodland Avenue
Eighth Street from Wallace Avenue to Clover Street
Highland Street from Central Avenue to 57th Avenue West
West Anoka Street from Maxwell Avenue to Woodland Avenue
Maxwell Avenue from West Anoka Street to West Redwing Street
Bristol Street from Central Avenue to 1,000 feet east
Ninth Street/Eighth Street from Sixth Avenue East to Woodland Avenue
FURTHER RESOLVED, that said work be done by contract and that the estimated total cost of said projects as estimated by the city engineer is $3,200,000, payable from Permanent Improvement Fund 411, Department/Agency 035 (Capital Projects Accounts), Object 5530 (Improvements Other than Buildings). The funding sources will be as follows: MSA funds, Federal funding and local funds. Of the project costs, $609,268 will be assessed to the benefitting properties.
FURTHER RESOLVED, that said assessments shall be levied upon lands benefitting per the preliminary assessment roll and may be paid in five annual installments at municipal bond index fund rate plus 1.50 percent interest.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution will order in assessable street improvements as part of the city’s 2018 street preservation project. The estimated assessment to the abutting property owners is $22.00 per front foot.
