CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into a one-year seasonal lease agreement, substantially in the form of that attached as Exhibit A, with De Lage Landen Public Finance LLC for golf carts for Enger Park golf course, for a total contract amount not to exceed $59,487.12, payable from 503-400-ENGR-5415 (golf, Parks & Recreation, golf course - Enger, vehicle/equip rent [short-term]).
RESOLVED FURTHER that this one-year lease is subject to the availability of funds.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes a lease agreement with De Lage Landen Public Finance LLC for the one-year seasonal lease of 87 golf and maintenance carts for an amount not to exceed $59,487.12, payable from the Golf Fund. This will be paid in six monthly installments from May through October.
The cart lease is a new one-year contract necessary to retain the current leased fleet for one additional year. The City began leasing the current golf cart fleet under a separate four-year agreement prior to the 2020 golf season. The City intends to solicit proposals in 2024 for a new golf cart lease agreement to begin in 2025.
Carts are provided by Club Car Minnesota. Club Car Minnesota offers municipal financing through De Lage Landen Public Finance, LLC.
