CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Overton Chicago Gear for the purchase of two parallel shaft reducers for the Minnesota Slip Pedestrian Bridge rehabilitation project in the amount of $131,040, payable from Capital Improvement Fund 450, Department 030 (Finance), Object 5530 (Improvements Other than Buildings), city project no. 1554.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution will authorize the purchase of two parallel shaft reducers for the Minnesota Slip Pedestrian Bridge rehabilitation project in the amount of $131,040, payable from Capital Improvement Fund 450, Department 030 (Finance), Object 5530 (Improvements Other than Buildings), city project no. 1554. The engineer’s estimate was $200,000. This purchase needs to be made in advance of the bridge rehabilitation project because of the long lead time needed for these specialty items.
