RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A SERVICE AGREEMENT WITH THE ARROWHEAD HEALTH ALLIANCE FOR THE DULUTH POLICE DEPARTMENT TO HIRE A COORDINATOR FOR THE HEAD OF THE LAKES COLLABORATIVE CRISIS INTERVENTION TEAM AND TO ACCEPT REMIBURSEMENT MONIES IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $40,000.

CITY PROPOSAL:

RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to execute a service agreement, substantially the same as the attached document A, with the Arrowhead Health Alliance (AHA), for the Duluth Police Department to accept up to $40,000.00 in reimbursement monies to hire an independent contractor to serve as a part-time coordinator for the Head of the Lakes Collaborative Crisis Intervention Team.

FURTHER RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to accept reimbursement monies from the AHA, with reimbursement monies to be deposited in fund number 215-200-2220-4654 (Duluth police grants, police, Arrowhead Health Alliance, other reimbursements).                                             

 

Statement of Purpose

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes the proper city officials to execute a service agreement with the Arrowhead Health Alliance (AHA), allowing the Duluth Police Department to receive reimbursement monies not to exceed $40,000 to hire an independent contractor to serve as a part-time coordinator for the Head of the Lakes Collaborative Crisis Intervention Team.  The coordinator will develop, organize and standardize trainings, enhance community awareness and perform a host of other duties that will enhance the services for those with mental illness.
